Increasing Muscle Mass
In increasing muscle mass you have to adopt advanced bodybuilding techniques to be successful today. Age-old techniques are being replaced with more advanced techniques which are more scientific and logical. Exact time period within which there advanced bodybuilding techniques will yield positive results cannot be stated. But after around a year’s period of training, one must have achieved 15 to 20 pounds of muscular bodyweight. Arms should be in the range of 17 inches and the chest should stretch an additional 3 to 5 inches. These parts have different degrees of development and must be proportionate for a balanced body. Various parts contribute in various measures while working out for increasing muscle mass. Increasing muscle mass is not as simple as it sounds. But it can be easily achieved if you increase the quantum of workouts you do in the gym. You can either increase the duration of your workout by way of more sets and more reps or reduce the amount of time between sets or finally you can follow a mix of these two methods. A starter will gain size more if he does 3 to 6 sets for the chest. Extending beyond a limit will over strain the muscles. Extending it beyond that also bears benefits in some cases but is not advisable in increasing muscle mass. Increasing muscle mass can also be done by increasing the intensity of the workouts. In this method you can either increase the amount of weight used, or reduce the time between sets you perform. It is not a right option to lift more weight that your capability as doing it so will add to your miseries. Your body should be capable of lifting additional weight, but if you are already at your peak then additional weights is just not possible for increasing muscle mass. Increasing muscle mass has another way to increase the muscle mass i.e. by exercising very faster. This can be done in two ways. One way is to speed up the individual exercises where weights have to be lifted at a quick place deviating from strict routine which amounts to compromise. This does not yield better results. Another option is to decrease the time between the sets, which require that the muscles get little time to recuperate and must do the second set which is very grueling on the muscles. The muscles get worn out and tired after each workout. They need enough time to reach a state from where they can attempt another set. Giving inadequate time between sets is not an advisable option to build your body. All these facts only come to the conclusion that in order to increase the muscle all advanced bodybuilding techniques requires a comprehensive increase in the duration between the sets and the intensity for increasing muscle mass. |
