It has been established that for natural body building success, training workouts should be so spaced that they allow tissue growth, nutritional replenishment, and biochemical re-synthesis to take place. At the same time the training workouts should be sufficiently frequent so as to provide for physiological development and strength. This is best illustrated by a great basketball player who is graceful on the court but falls flat every time he is asked to dance. Therefore, training exercises should duplicate the exact conditions under which the results of training are to be utilized in enhancing the performance skills of an individual. |
