High Intensity Training

High intensity training requires strenuous workouts for bodybuilding. The aim of weight training during bodybuilding is to stress the muscle to the maximum causing some damage to the muscles which result in growth of the muscle. A lot of factors like the level of intensity, the overall framework which affects the fitness schedule, activities that contribute to high intensity training have to be considered in your high intensity training.

High intensity training has various components in improving fitness of the body. In bodybuilding there are nine important components in high intensity training like Agility, Flexibility, Balance, Neuromuscular (motor) coordination, Muscular strength, Muscular endurance, Cardiovascular or aerobic endurance, Anaerobic power and Speed. Strength is an important component, which enables you to create maximum force in one effort. In a week with sufficient training an average individual can gain 2% to 5% of strength. Different muscles respond differently to various workouts. Some muscle respond very slowly, some respond very quickly and some are moderate in their response time. Specific muscles can be targeted and trained on machines dedicated for that particular muscle development during high intensity training.

High intensity training should concentrate on increasing the endurance of the muscles. Endurance of the muscles is the ability of the muscles to exert submaximal force and sustain it for an extended period of time. The Nautilus offers a variety of specific exercising equipments to train for specific muscles to boost the endurance of the muscles through high intensity training.

High intensity training can improve Cardiovascular/aerobic endurance by improving on the capacity to process oxygen by the body. Working on the Nautilus, you can boost the heart rate to a high level for a 30 minute workout which involves 60% of aerobic influence. The 40% is supplied through the anaerobic exercises. You have to compensate by doing more aerobic exercises to improve the cardiovascular endurance as 65% to 70% is advised as the most apt in your high intensity training.

High intensity training should also be able to generate high amounts of workouts which are known as anaerobic power. The Nautilus equipment helps again to build on power by 18-minute workout on the equipments. Speed is another factor which enables the body to execute a movement at high velocities. Speed depends on both the components of strength and anaerobic power. Slow weight training has been believed by many to cause slow movement of the body. However studies indicate that slow and high-intensity strength training improves speed. Include slow exercising in your high intensity training.

High intensity training also emphasizes on flexibility of the muscles. Bodybuilders are often accused of lacking flexibility. But in reality bodybuilding has nothing to do with lack of flexibility. The bodybuilders lack flexibility as they do not work on that area like any other average person. The Nautilus machine offers a variety of stretching exercises to improve your flexibility through your high intensity training.
