Weight Gain And Stretch Marks
Weight Gain And Stretch Marks
Weight gain and stretch marks are inseparable,
but can be managed. Almost all bodybuilders have stretch marks. Muscle
building stretch marks are common in all bodybuilders as the skin accommodates
muscle build up by expanding. The stretch marks initially are in reddish
or purplish tears and gradually turn to white. Stretch marks can be
commonly seen in pregnant women due to the expansion of the skin to
accommodate the enlarging growth inside. Many bodybuilders have stretch
marks on their forearms and even on their calves. So it is a normal
affair with weight gain and stretch marks.
Weight gain and stretch marks can be minimized. You can follow few simple precautions to minimize the stretch marks if not totally preventing it from happening. First do not gain weight quickly. Quick weight gain is actually increased fat rather than muscles, which eventually results in the formation of stretch marks. It can also happen when the skin is short of the required nutrition. So consume a lot of vitamin and mineral supplement to keep your skin healthy. The skin must be kept moisturized, so that it does not go dry and tear during workouts. When stretch marks start to develop, you can remove it to an extent by a Vitamin E application. You can effectively manage weight gain and stretch marks.
Weight gain and stretch marks can be managed effectively for different exercises by adopting a little improvisation. In Supination the wrist has to be rotated in such a manner that your palm is facing forward when your arm is down. It is impossible for you to supinate your hands while doing barbell curls. During the biceps development training the hand gets locked away from the supinated position. To prevent this you can start the movement with your palms facing towards your legs. When you are about halfway up in the movement, rotate your hands 90 degrees to the supinated position. This supination movement will do wonders in building up your muscles without creating much damage to the skin by means of stretch marks. Innovate to a small measure to manage weight gain and stretch marks.
Weight gain and stretch marks are natural. During workouts bodybuilders sustain injuries like rupture, sprain and much more. Small injuries can be ignored, but major injuries have to be given due attention to prevent it from worsening. The chance of stretch mark turning into an injury must be delineated. You should not self-treat major injuries and should consult a physiotherapist or a doctor to get you cured. You cannot risk you hard earned health by a foolish mistake. Muscle building stretch marks can be seen with all the bodybuilders these days and there are only very few who are free of stretch marks. A thoroughly planned and strict workout and diet is essential for a stretch mark free body. You can easily cope with weight gain and stretch marks.
